NATURE BASED PROGRAMMING
Forest Footsteps Summer Camp is a nature-based Summer Camp offering ample outdoor time for play and exploration. Our space includes a lovely, shaded, large yard and campers have access to raw, forested areas right on the property.
OUR DAY
Campers will spend the majority of their day outdoors engaged in free play, exploration, and fun structured activities. Part of the day will be spent indoors in the bright, spacious, calming space filled with natural toys and play centres to stimulate imagination, cooperative play, and free expression. A Seasonal Circle with songs and stories, as well as a fun and engaging Puppet Show is included in the day. Snacks and lunch will be eaten as a group creating a sense of community.
OUR APPROACH
Our approach is based on a deeply-held belief to support and strengthen the social and emotional skills of the 3 to 9 year old, as well as to provide them with opportunities for 'fresh-air play' and exploration. Our goal is to give children simple yet magical interactions with nature and each other, allowing them to slow down and experience their play with deeper purpose and meaning.
OUR LEADER AND CEO
Ms Jan has been working with children for over thirty years, with over half of those years spent in the classroom. The current teacher of a Kindergarten Alternative program, Ms Jan enjoys going beyond the classroom to share her knowledge and experience in a camp setting, creating an experience that the children rave about. Ms Jan's Camp and her approach are so popular that many campers are looking forward to returning for another year of fun and play!

Parent and Child Playgroup
A weekly gathering for both parent and child, ages birth to 6 years, with opportunities for social interactions in a safe and gentle space.
The young child can explore the world while parents can observe their child with curiousity and wonder. Enjoy movement and singing in a circle time, feed the imagination in story, and share a nourishing snack together.
